Untrauer’s efforts have already identified 49 veterans in Ravenna’s Maple Grove Cemetery, many of whom were buried in unmarked graves, including four veterans in the cemetery’s “potter’s field.” This section contains people who, for various reasons, did not have the means for a traditional burial. For these veterans, having a proper grave marker is a long-overdue acknowledgment of their service.

Through collaboration with local groups like the Ravenna American Legion Post, she has managed to bring honor to heroes like Willie Ross Dennis, a Vietnam War veteran who finally received a proper grave marker, decades after his passing.
