Brooke Candy is speaking out after feeling slighted by her collaborator, Erika Jayne, who failed to acknowledge her contribution when the song “Drip” featured in the Oscar-winning film Anora. The track, from Brooke’s 2019 album Sexorcism, played a significant role in the film’s success, yet during a reunion special on The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills, Jayne only mentioned herself as a feature, leaving Candy out of the spotlight.

Brooke Candy’s Disappointment in Erika Jayne’s Actions
During the reunion, Housewives producer Andy Cohen praised Erika Jayne for the song’s inclusion in the film. Jayne responded by mentioning her role as a feature, but she didn’t credit Brooke Candy, the artist who made the song happen. Candy quickly took to TikTok, expressing her frustration over the missed opportunity for Jayne to “give her flowers” for the hard work she put into “Drip.” “You could’ve acknowledged me in that moment, and you didn’t,” Candy said, highlighting how she felt overlooked despite being the driving force behind the track.
Brooke Candy Calls Out Erika Jayne for Not Sharing Credit
The tension didn’t end there. Brooke Candy also called out Jayne for hosting a private screening of Anora without inviting her and for promoting the film on Instagram without crediting her for the song. “How could I not have a problem?” Candy asked, noting how Jayne used the event to promote herself but neglected to tag the artist responsible for the track. Despite their communication about tagging Candy in the Instagram post, Jayne had initially failed to do so, prompting further frustration from the artist.
In a follow-up post, Candy clarified that even though she had texted Jayne with “empathy and grace” to address the issue, the lack of acknowledgment still left her feeling disrespected. In a final remark, Candy jokingly suggested, “I’d rather have collaborated with Countess Luann,” emphasizing her disappointment in the situation.
Margaret Cho, comedian and friend of Brooke Candy, also stepped in to support her, calling out Erika Jayne for not recognizing Candy’s genius and creative input.
