Kid Rock Nashville restaurant has a fresh new face in Music City. The rap-rock star, together with Detroit restaurateur Joe Vicari, has transformed the former Joe Muer Seafood in Nashville into a bold new dining spot called The Detroit Cowboy.
Kid Rock has a clear message for locals, visitors, or anyone thinking about coming to Nashville: if you disagree with his politics or anything else he stands for, he’s not here to please you. The grand opening announcement for The Detroit Cowboy kicks off with a strong statement: “Kid Rock couldn’t care less what you think about his new restaurant.”
In his own words, Kid Rock says, “I know how to hang pictures, create a vibe, and make things fun! … all while still holding two middle fingers up high for the haters!” This edgy approach to marketing is no surprise for the outspoken artist, a vocal supporter of former President Donald Trump and known for stirring controversy with his views on topics from deportation to boycotts.

Kid Rock Nashville restaurant delivers bold dining experience
To balance the boldness, The Detroit Cowboy is hosting an “invite-only” grand opening celebration on June 3, with a fan giveaway on Instagram offering two tickets, including a meet-and-greet with Kid Rock.
This collaboration with Joe Vicari Restaurant Group reimagines the Nashville Joe Muer Seafood with a bold fusion of Motor City grit and Music City swagger. The restaurant’s motto? “Go where you’re celebrated, not tolerated.”
Country stars like Jamey Johnson, Drake White, and Midland have already stopped by, as shared on Kid Rock’s Instagram. The menu showcases premium seafood and steaks — oysters, Alaskan halibut, seabass, lobster pot pie, Wagyu strip, Tomahawk ribeye, and Black Angus filet, alongside sides like truffle fries and charred broccolini. Prices range from $32 to $148, with a premium seafood tower priced at $175.

Kid Rock Nashville restaurant combines grit and swagger
“The Detroit Cowboy isn’t just a restaurant — it’s a culinary ride like no other, where like-minded folks who love this country can dine in style,” Kid Rock said. “Whether you wear a bow tie, a bolo tie, or no tie — it’s all good. I designed this place to share some of my favorite memories and artifacts from legends like Johnny Cash, Dolly Parton, Eminem, Bob Seger, and more. It’s the only spot where Detroit grit and Nashville swagger collide for the finest dining experience. Joe Vicari knows fine dining, I know how to hang pictures and create fun vibes… all while flipping the bird to the haters. I’m here to take the ‘foo-foo’ out of fine dining.”
Kid Rock Nashville Restaurant: The restaurant also features a VIP dining space called The Eagles Nest, offering private entry, taxidermy décor, fine linens, and enormous bone-in ribeyes.
This new spot marks Kid Rock’s second venture in Nashville, joining his popular Kid Rock’s Big Ass Honky Tonk & Rock & Roll Steakhouse on Broadway, which he often shows up at unexpectedly, sometimes with political commentator Tucker Carlson in tow.
