  • 6 lemons
  • 1 cup white sugar
  • 6 cups water (or more as needed)

Directions:

  1. Make the Lemon Syrup:
    • Roll the lemons on the countertop to release the juices.
    • Cut the lemons in half and squeeze the juice into a pitcher, removing seeds as you go.
    • In a small saucepan, combine 1 cup of water and the sugar. Heat over medium heat until the sugar dissolves, stirring occasionally. Once dissolved, remove from heat and let cool.
  2. Combine the Lemon Juice and Syrup:
    • Pour the cooled simple syrup into the pitcher with the lemon juice.
