Seafood Boil Recipe

Ingredients for this Seafood Boil Recipe:

  • 8 red potatoes
  • 8 andouille sausages, sliced
  • 4 onions, quartered
  • 2 ears fresh corn, cut into halves
  • ½ cup seafood seasoning (such as Old Bay®), or to taste
  • 4 whole Dungeness crabs

Directions:

  1. Prep the ingredients: Wash the potatoes, quarter the onions, slice the sausages, and cut the corn into halves. Set aside.
  2. Boil the potatoes and sausages: In a large pot, fill it halfway with water and bring it to a boil. Add the red potatoes and cook for 10 minutes.
  3. Add the sausage, corn, and onions: After the potatoes have cooked for 10 minutes, add the andouille sausage, corn halves, and quartered onions. Let everything boil for another 10 minutes.
  4. Season: Add the seafood seasoning to the pot and stir to distribute evenly.
  5. Add the crabs: Carefully add the Dungeness crabs to the pot. Cover and cook for another 15-20 minutes, or until the crabs are fully cooked and turn bright orange.
  6. Drain and serve: Once cooked, drain the water from the pot and transfer everything to a large serving tray or spread out on a newspaper-lined table for a classic crab boil experience.
