  • 2 (15 ounce) cans mandarin oranges, drained
  • 2 (20 ounce) cans pineapple chunks, drained
  • 2 cups halved fresh strawberries
  • 2 cups seedless grapes
  • ½ cup water
  • ¼ cup white sugar
  • 2 tablespoons grated lemon zest

Directions:

  1. Prepare the Melons: Cut the watermelon, cantaloupe, and honeydew melons into bite-sized cubes. Remove the seeds from the cantaloupe and honeydew, and set them aside.
  2. Mix the Syrup: In a small saucepan, combine the water and sugar. Bring to a simmer over medium heat, stirring occasionally until the sugar is fully dissolved. Remove from heat and allow it to cool.
  3. Combine Fruits: In a large bowl, combine the cubed watermelon, cantaloupe, honeydew, mandarin oranges, pineapple chunks, halved strawberries, and grapes.
  4. Add Syrup & Zest: Pour the cooled syrup over the fruit mixture and gently toss to combine. Sprinkle with grated lemon zest and mix gently again.
  5. Chill & Serve: Refrigerate for at least 30 minutes before serving to allow the flavors to meld. Serve chilled.
